Michelin starred chef, Martin Wishart joined up with the Sunday Mail and Morrisons to find Scotland's newest culinary talent.
Budding chef Claire McCulloch was named the Great Scot menu competition winner after a Masterchef-style cook-off at Martin Wishart's Edinburgh cook school on Tuesday 10th August.
The 23 year-old from Monifieth in Dundee impressed judges Martin Wishart, Glasgow Hilton's head chef Derek Donaldson and Morrison's Customer Cafe area manager Clive McDonald with the way she executed her creative and complex menu.
Claire, who starts a course in level three professional cookery at Dundee College after the summer, will now see her menu served up to around 750 VIP guests at the Great Scot Award ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel on the 11th September.
Following the awards ceremony, Claire will also get the opportunity to join Martin and his team in his Edinburgh kitchen for an evening of expert advice.
Entries for the Great Scot Menu Competition have now closed.
All Sunday Mail Readers can also get the opportunity to pick up some hints and tips by attending a 90min class run by Head Tutor Kevin Ramsay, at Martin Wishart's Cook School. Special price of £30.00 per person is offered to all readers, full details and booking instructions can be found on www.cookschool.co.uk.
