showcasing the very best in the Scottish industry.
The Scottish Restaurant Awards 2013 in association with the Daily Record and 5pm.co.uk are taking place 4th June 2013. These awards, now in their sixth year, acknowledge the outstanding creativity, customer service and top quality dining that is on offer throughout Scotland.
Dining out is a big part of life in Scotland, the restaurant trade is a vital component in Scottish life, both as an employer and as a service provider.
Whether it's fine dining or good value family meals, these awards celebrate and reward Scotland's very best restaurants in their field across 13 categories.
The winners are all setting the standard in the industry across Scotland and around the world. Last years Chef of the Year, Jeff Bland commented,
"The Scottish Restaurant Awards inspire our industry to strive for higher standards, and put not only our restaurant on the map but the Scottish food industry itself. The amount of work this industry does towards helping the Scottish economy can often be underestimated, I am glad we have these awards to recognise the work we are all doing across the board."
The 2012 winners proved how high the standard is across the whole of Scotland. The 2012 Restaurant of the Year went to Castle Terrace, Edinburgh.
Nominations for 2013 are now closed.
