Nominations are invited, via the online nomination form, from restaurants, customers and suppliers. Simply complete your nomination and on receipt of this a questionnaire will be issued to the restaurant for further information.
Nominations Close – Monday 3rd October 2011
Short-listing – w/c 24th October 2011
The judging panel will select 3 finalists in each category. This panel will also select a dedicated testing team (made up of no more than 2), with expertise in that particular sector, to perform the site visits.
Site visits – Between Friday 28th October 2011 and Wednesday 16th November 2011
Restaurants will be contacted and informed that a site visit will be arranged for the judges to evaluate a customer's experience. Each group of judges will evaluate the restaurant against a set list of criteria. This visit will be completed as a mystery shopper. At the end of the meal the judge will make you aware that they are from the Scottish Restaurant Awards (they will show identification). A complimentary meal for two should be provided in order for the judge to adequately review the restaurant.
Upon request a site report will also be made available to finalists following the event on the 27.02.11

The winners will be announced at a glittering award ceremony held at the Glasgow Science Centre.
