Award Categories
Judging for all award categories is extremely thorough and will be carried out by an independent expert judging panel following the closing date. Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow on Wednesday 1st September 2010.

Please enter your nominations for any or all of the following award categories. Deals concluded between 1st April 2009 and 31st March 2010 are eligible for nomination. You/Your nominee may be contacted by our researchers for further information to assist the judging panel.
Section 1 – Company Deals
These awards are intended to highlight and reward successful dealmaking in the categories shown.

Acquisition of the Year
Which Scottish headquartered company carried out the most ambitious, innovative or successful acquisition in 2009/2010. |

Sale of the Year
Which Scottish headquartered company carried out the most successful and impressive sale in 2009/2010. |

MBO/MBI of the Year
Which management team based in Scotland succeeded in the best MBO or MBI. |

Rescue Deal of the Year
This award reflects the current economic climate and the importance of imaginative, effective and well executed deals which enable businesses to avoid complete collapse and preserve as many jobs as possible. Only deals involving companies originally headquartered in Scotland are eligible for this award.

Investment Deal of the Year
This award recognizes the achievement of deal makers in harvesting new funds for Scottish based companies to enable them to take forward their propositions. |
Section 2 – Company Excellence
These awards are designed to ensure that meritorious deals of all sizes are given appropriate recognition by the Scottish business community. You may nominate deals of any type but they must involve a company with a pre-deal turnover within the limit shown.

A new addition for 2010, this award recognises the skills of legal advisers involved in deals. The judges will be looking a number of factors including innovation, the ability to resolve complicated issues and efficiency and will also take into account evidence from clients who have been impressed by the work of their legal advisers.
Individual lawyers, firms or teams at individual firms can be nominated for this award. |
