Judging for all award categories is extremely thorough and will be carried out by an independent expert judging panel following the closing date. Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow on Wednesday 5th September 2012.

	Acquisition of the Year Which Scottish headquartered company carried out the most ambitious, innovative or successful acquisition in 2010/11.
	Sale of the Year Which Scottish headquartered company carried out the most successful and impressive sale in 2010/11.
	MBO/MBI of the Year Which management team based in Scotland succeeded in the best MBO or MBI.
	Investment Deal of the Year This award recognizes the achievement of deal makers in harvesting new funds for Scottish based companies to enable them to take forward their propositions.

Small/Mid-Size Company Deal of the Year Turnover < £20 million

	Emerging Dealmaker of the Year Who is shaping up to be one of Scotland’s best rising stars in dealmaking?
	Dealmaking Team of the Year This category recognises an entire team that was involved in Scotland's ground breaking deals.
	Dealmaker of the Year Creative and dynamic with a first class track record.
	Legal Adviser of the Year This award recognises the skills of legal advisers involved in deals. The judges will be looking a number of factors including innovation, the ability to resolve complicated issues and efficiency and will also take into account evidence from clients who have been impressed by the work of their legal advisers. Individual lawyers, firms or teams at individual firms can be nominated for this award.
	Deal of the Year The judging panel will select one of the nominated deals from the company deals section above.
