2012 award Categories
Judging for all award categories is extremely thorough and will be carried out by an independent expert judging panel and following the closing date (Friday 27th July 2012 at 5pm). Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Glasgow Science Centre on Thursday 4th October 2012.

2012 Nominations open 18th April
Best Green Small Company
This award recognises the efforts of a small to medium size business (turnover up to £20 million) in helping to improve the environment. Entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 18 months and should be located in Scotland.
Best Green Large Company
This award recognises the efforts of a large company (turnover greater than £20 million) in helping to improve the environment. Entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 18 months and should be located in Scotland.
Best Green Community Initiative
This award will go to an initiative that improves the environment and has been led and developed by a community and with wide-community support and involvement.
Best Green Campaigner / Activist
This award is designed to encourage and reward the activities of a Scottish campaigner
Best Green Campaign from a School or Youth Group
This award recognises a school or Youth Group, which has taken the initiative on a project/s, which demonstrate its commitment to protecting and improving the environment.
Best Green PR Campaign
This award is for the best campaign that most effectively uses public relations to generate publicity in order to build awareness of, or support corporate values on community, social, ethical or reputation issues.
Best Green Public Service or Public Sector Provision
This award is open to a large category of service providers including local authorities, health authorities, non-government organisations, community councils or other community initiatives. It recognises the provider’s success in delivering a service and in doing so also improving the environment in Scotland for the public’s benefit.
Most Innovative Green Product
This new award is for an innovative new green product, which has been brought to market, made by a Scottish-based individual, company or organisation.
20/20 Carbon Reduction Award
Recognising that Scotland is aiming for the world’s most challenging target for 2020, this new award recognises a company or organisation which demonstrates a proactive approach to reducing its carbon footprint.
